I is on, Old is not on so OSI goes on
I is on so Old goes on

Next scan(s)...

I is on but Old is now on so OSI goes off
I is on so Old stays on

First scan with I going off...

I is off and Old is on so OSI stays off
I is off so Old goes off

Next scan(s)...

I is off and Old is off so OSI stays off
I is off so Old stays off

 

Result: OSI is only on for one scan, the one when I went On

Usage: Imagine I is a push button - OSI can be used to count every time that I is pushed (Note: If using I, the count would increase while the button is held down)
